ARORA
New Orleans
Arvostelut
Went for kpop night, the event was going great, until I got my check. The bartender quoted me $7 per beer, little pricey for a Michalob, but it’s New Orleans at an event, so I was totally okay with that. I had a total of 3 beers. My check arrived and the total was $41.25. I was charged $10 per beer as well as a card charge, sales tax, and 20% gratuity. There was no signage indicating a card charge or automatic 20% gratuity on tabs, unless I missed it, and when I inquired with that same bartender about the price of beers she again said $7 and then went to wait on other customers and never once came back to me. So I just signed off on it because I was getting frustrated and did not want to make a scene with my group of friends I was with over a $9 beer upcharge. Would have tipped 20-25% and didn’t care about a non cash upcharge, but it’s the principle of it all and the fact that the bartender told me twice that it was $7 when i was charged $10 per beer.
The ads on IG makes this place bigger than what it really is. It looks so spacious in the promos only for it to fall flat in person. They have a Function 1 sound system that bumps but I not sure this is the place for authentic house and techno.
Top tier night club in NOLA. The walls are all LED mapped which sets a unique vibe. Excellent DJs & music. Clean bathrooms. Will be back!
