Description
The Voodoo Museum and New Orleans Walking Tour begins with a knowledgeable guided tour of the historic Voodoo Museum. The museum is small but filled with unique exhibits that explore Voodoo's influence on New Orleans and its people. Then, you'll take a short walk to several nearby locations, including Congo Square, where you'll investigate Voodoo rituals of the past and present. You will also visit Marie Laveau's house and discuss this important and powerful Voodoo priestess. Nate and his team are passionate about New Orleans' Voodoo history and culture. The walking tour has guidelines but is not scripted, so questions are welcome, and they are happy to dive deeper into the topics that interest you. The cemetery was closed early in the pandemic and has only recently reopened with limited access, so it is still not included in the tour. However, there is a replica of Marie Laveau's tomb in the museum, allowing for a discussion about this important symbol.Includes
