Gerald Watkins Jr. presents A Birthday Tribute to Art Blakey Celebrate the birthday and enduring legacy of legendary drummer and bandleader Art Blakey with New Orleans drummer, percussionist, educator, and mentor Gerald Watkins Jr. Born October 11, 1919, Blakey was the driving force behind the legendary Jazz Messengers and one of the most influential figures in the history of hard bop. His powerful drumming and commitment to mentoring young musicians helped shape generations of jazz artists. Leading an all-star New Orleans ensemble, Watkins brings Blakey's spirit of swing, groove, and musical mentorship to the stage. A versatile and highly respected drummer, Watkins has performed with Delfeayo Marsalis & the Uptown Jazz Orchestra, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Eric Benét, Ledisi, and other acclaimed artists. He is also a dedicated educator and mentor at the Ellis Marsalis Center for Music, continuing Blakey's tradition of nurturing the next generation of jazz musicians. Join us for an evening celebrating the music, legacy, and unmistakable groove of Art Blakey!

Advance Ticket-Holders can also make table reservations for dinner by forwarding your E-ticket confirmation with dinner request info to reservations@snugjazz.com after your tickets have been purchased online.
Dinner Service without Advance Concert Tickets is first-come, first-served based on availability upon arrival.
Bar Room is Open 5pm - Midnight for all, with or without tickets.
Food and Beverage Policy
Kind Reminder: Snug Harbor does NOT serve the full menu inside the Music Room. We do offer cheese and charcuterie tray options.
In order to preserve the integrity, quiet and focus of our world class intimate concerts, only the charcuterie, cocktails and soft drinks are available for table service inside the Music Room.
However, we encourage you to arrive at least 90 Minutes prior to your showtime in order to enjoy full, relaxing dinner service in the Dining Room right next door, before getting seated in the Music Room for your ticketed showtime.
