My husband and I stayed at The Blackbird Hotel to celebrate my birthday, and from the moment we arrived until the day we checked out, everything was beyond exceptional. We arrived a few hours before check-in and were able to leave our bags while we enjoyed brunch. To our surprise, the concierge texted us nearly two hours before the scheduled check-in time to let us know our room was ready and that our luggage had already been placed inside. That level of customer service immediately set the tone for our stay. Our room was absolutely beautiful—elegant, thoughtfully designed, and the perfect blend of luxury and comfort. I was especially touched to find a handwritten birthday card waiting for me. It was such a thoughtful gesture that made my celebration feel even more special. The hotel itself is stunning. The atmosphere is moody, sophisticated, and exactly what I had envisioned. Every detail, from the décor to the ambiance, made it feel like a true escape. The pool and bar were top-tier, and if you dine there, the deviled eggs are an absolute must—they were hands down our favorite dish! This getaway was exactly what my husband and I needed. We had no desire to leave the hotel because everything we wanted was right there. In fact, we loved it so much that we booked another stay in December. If you’re looking for an unforgettable stay in New Orleans with impeccable service, beautiful accommodations, and an atmosphere that’s both elegant and inviting, The Blackbird Hotel is it. We can’t wait to come back!

The Blackbird Hotel is exactly what you want in a New Orleans stay—stylish, unique, and full of character. The design of the rooms is incredible, blending modern luxury with that classic St. Charles Ave charm. It feels much more like a high-end boutique experience than a standard hotel. The staff was attentive, and the attention to detail in the decor really sets this place apart!

Stayed at Blackbird Hotel in New Orleans for 4 nights and had a bit of a mixed experience. On the positive side, the hotel is exceptionally aesthetically pleasing. The design and finishes are easily a 10/10—thoughtful, stylish, and really well executed. We stayed in the largest room and felt it was really well done and a very good size for a renovated old mansion. If you’re looking for a massive suite experience go elsewhere. This is unique and necessarily on the smaller size bc if it. The cocktails were also solid and definitely worth mentioning. Also, the food, although a small selection, was quite good. Where things fell short was the service. It consistently felt like the hotel was running on a skeleton crew. The staff we encountered were pleasant, but the overall experience felt a bit transient, like there wasn’t a steady, experienced manager overseeing operations—which shows. For such a costly renovation it seems investing in a steady day in and day out resort manager would be worth the expense. There were also some noticeable housekeeping issues that added up: empty glasses and trash were left behind after cleaning, toilet paper wasn’t replenished, and similar details were missed repeatedly. With better staffing and attention to detail, this place could be truly outstanding. Right now, it’s a beautiful hotel that hasn’t quite matched its service to its design.

Location=Loved it!!! I wish I could give a 5 star for everything but I did have one issue. I felt Management lacked a little bit empathy, was quoted one price and charged another. Price went from 300ish to 600ish. Was in New Orleans for My Husband and I’s Anniversary so what do you do. So moving on the Bar= Friendly, Great Customer Service!!!! The Room, you have to understand Vintage Culture, Loved it!! Now, while I wasn’t the happiest over the price change and excuse of the problem solving method, there was one gentleman who knew my situation and really was the most kind and understanding person, his name is Alvin Jackson. Customer Service= Top Tier Sir!!! I just want to say Thank you!! Your kind words and understanding means more than you know. Also, Maya I appreciate you as well.
