My Only Issue Was Housekeeping...We Had To Ask Several Times For Them To Clean The Tub and Replace The Shower Gel. Fortunately I Came With My Own. We Even Asked If We Could Fet Cleaning Solution To Clean Our Own Tub and Eventually Ended Up Using Clorox Wipes That We Had brought With Us. After 3 Days One Of The Housekeepers Cleaned The Tub. ONE House Keeper Mopped The Floor Others Didn't Touch The Floor. The Tub Needed To Be Reglazed. Other Than That From What I Saw Its Overall A Great Hotel I Would Stay Again
We visit NOLA yearly and the Westin is our go to spot. The location is great, staff is nice, friendly, & attentive. This time our room was on the 17th floor river view which was amazing. We slept with the shades up so we can see the sunrise and set daily. Housekeeping did an amazing job daily. The bed was very comfortable and I loved the decor. The hotel provided daily perks, which I loved and used. If you're in need of lodging you don't have to look far. Book a room here.
We stayed at The Westin for one night before our cruise, and it was such a convenient and enjoyable experience. The location is excellent—perfect for exploring the city. It’s on Canal Street, so you can easily walk to Bourbon Street and the surrounding areas without needing a taxi or rental car. The cruise port is also extremely close, about a 5–6 minute drive away, which made everything very easy and stress-free. Another big plus is that the hotel is connected to a mall, so if you don’t feel like going far, you can simply go downstairs and still have access to shops and food options. It made everything even more convenient. The hotel itself was very nice, and the service was excellent—attentive, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. Our room was comfortable and even had a beautiful river view, which made it even more special. We honestly wished we had stayed longer. It was the perfect place for a short stay, and we would definitely come back in the future.
We loved staying here in the past but this last time we specifically made reservations for valet service. We would not have driven the car we had, if we had known we would have to park in a public parking lot. When we got there it was a mess because of events going on in NOLA that weekend. The valets had fill the garage with non guest cars. We was forced to park in a public lot. The valet told us where to go and said no fees. 3 hours later we had a boot on our car. The motel was zero help because they said a separate company deals with the valet. Had we known no valet service we would have driven our other vehicle. It’s was disappointing and we spent the whole time stressing over the car and left a day early because of it. All I’m saying is valet service is not always available if that’s a service you must have. The rest was good. The motel nice, clean and great views.
I had a great experience at The Westin New Orleans during my recent visit. As a traveler, I don’t really need much—just a clean room and kind people—and overall the hotel delivered on that. My room was clean enough and comfortable for my stay, though the bathroom could use a little refreshing. The shower/tub looked a bit worn and not completely white, which made it appear slightly dirty even though it seemed like it had been cleaned. It likely just needs to be refinished. I wear shower shoes anyway, so it wasn’t a huge concern for me, but it might be something the hotel could look into updating. The highlight of my stay happened during checkout when I met Amanda W. She was incredibly kind and asked about my stay. When I mentioned my concern about the shower, she listened carefully, took notes, and assured me she would make sure it was addressed so the next guest would have a better experience. Her kindness and professionalism really stood out. During our conversation I mentioned that I wanted to try the oysters at the hotel but was about to leave to catch my Uber. Amanda generously offered me a complimentary appetizer so I could try them before heading out. That gesture was completely unexpected and absolutely not necessary, but it meant a lot to me that she wanted to make sure I left on a good note. Amanda W. was truly the highlight of my stay, and I’m very grateful I got to meet her. On my next trip to New Orleans, I would happily stay here again just because of her hospitality. The location is also perfect. It’s easy to get around by trolley, walking (especially in nice weather), or Uber since everything is so close by. I’m already looking forward to my next trip, and I will definitely consider staying here again.
